Colony Picking

Hudson Robotics is a colony picking leader. The RapidPick family of instruments includes the RapidPick SP, the recently introduced single-pin colony picker, and the well-known 20-pin RapidPick colony picker. RapidPick technology uses a camera to capture a single image of the entire petri dish, omni-tray or segmented colony plate, and then uses advanced image analysis to allow users to create selection profiles, maybe to select the maximum number of bacterial colonies, or discriminate among them for favored traits. The RapidPick Harvester is used in the study of yeast and fungus. All of the Hudson’s bacterial colony picker technologies can fit in anaerobic chambers so they are ideal for microbiome research.
