Go-To-Market Laboratory OEM Manufacturing Program

Go-To-Market is a rapid OEM solution development program that delivers comprehensive, thoughtful solutions related to laboratory automation.

Who Chooses Go-to-Market to design and manufacturing for your lab instruments?

Reagent Manufacturers – Looking for turnkey automated protocols executed on validated and cohesively branded workstations.
Instrument Manufacturers – Realizing their customers need automation of front-end protocols as well as automated feeding of samples to their instruments

Why choose Go to Market?

• Because your customers demand solutions –  and they  just want  the solution to work

The Go-To-Market program consists of five basic steps.  Which steps your OEM opportunity requires will depend upon your stage of development, your experience with automation., and your desired level of self-development.

The five steps are:

1. Feasibility  Analysis
2. Orientation
3. Development Foundation
4. Hardware and Software Development
5. System Training

OEM Program Steps

1. Feasibility Analysis

Hudson hardware and software engineers will consult with your staff to determine the feasibility and limitations of coupling the appropriate Hudson product with your instrument or reagent.

This analysis will identify the software and hardware requirements for this solution and identify the specific design or feature changes, if any, which may be required.  This will include a review of requirements for both your product and the appropriate Hudson product.

2. Orientation

Hudson will typically conduct a 2-day introductory course at our facilities to familiarize selected OEM personnel with the relevant Hudson products, to include:

  • Product usage and maintenance
  • Software and programming training
  • Application  integration

3. Development Foundation

Site visit by key Hudson developers to OEM’s facility to learn OEM’s process and marketing message.  This enables Hudson to incorporate the OEM’s branding and critical customer needs into the developed software and the user interfaces needed from Hudson.

4. Hardware and Software Development

This phase is the portion where Hudson developers work closely with their OEM counterparts to actually produce the specific versions of product and software required by the OEM.  This step may be trivial, if the appropriate product(s) require no modification (perhaps just paint and logo), or may be extensive, involving feature enhancements and custom-developed software or firmware.

5. System Training

The typical training program would involve several OEM personnel for 3 to 4 days at Hudson to learn:

  • Workcell setup and operation
  • Software structure and support
  • Workcell maintenance and troubleshooting
