Micro10x™ Microplate Reagent Dispenser

A benchtop, fast-filling liquid handling dispenser offering accuracy and flexibility.

Micro 10X Microplate Reagent Dispenser offers compact 8- and 12-channel high-throughput, accurate bulk reagent dispensing for microplates or racks of 96 tubes. It never needs calibration because its ceramic, positive-displacement pump head is factory-calibrated and does not wear. The leading competitors require frequent calibration and the purchase of replacement dispensing cassettes. Micro10x Microplate Reagent Dispenser dispenses volumes down to approximately 10ul per channel and provides features to ensure a clean, full dispense of various liquids.

Description

The Micro10x Microplate Reagent Dispenser can be loaded and operated with the touchpad provided but is also fully compatible with our SoftLinx™ Lab Automation Software and robotic plate loader systems, such as our PlateCrane EX™, or track-based microplate delivery systems, such as our LabLinx™ System, for unparalleled throughput and ease-of-setup. Remote operation through an Application Programming Interface (API) is also available for integration with other Lab Automation Software systems.

The Micro10x Microplate Reagent Dispenser dispenses liquids in volumes down to 10 microliters, and is the only small dispenser capable of tip-touchoff to ensure a clean dispense of high surface-tension fluids. Its ceramic positive-displacement pump head is adjustable in increments of 10nL and never requires recalibration.  The leading competitor needs constant calibration and the purchase of replacement dispensing cassettes. The Micro10x microplate dispenser can be used as a stand-alone laboratory instrument or integrated into a laboratory workstation.

The Micro10x has optional valving to allow for selecting any one of up to 10 bottles for reagents, buffers, culture media, or solvents. It has full robotic control of the filler head and automatically adjusts to the height AND well-pattern of any SBS-standard microplate, from low-profile 1536-well plates to tall, 96 deep-well plates. It is well-suited to use in ELISA applications as a dispenser of conjugate and stop solutions. The Micro10x can also dispense culture media into Petri dishes, OmniTrays, and other ANSI/SLAS footprint plates.

Because the filler head moves, not the plate, Micro 10X can be used IN-LINE with Our LabLinx high-performance track-based microplate handling system for unparalleled throughput and ease of setup. It also integrates with over 200 lab instruments made by other manufacturers.

Micro10x Microplate Reagent Dispenser features users find convenient in small, benchtop instruments, plus some unique features not normally found in benchtop liquid dispensers:

Applications

The Micro10x Microplate Reagent Dispenser is a small, dependable dispenser for quickly adding all types of liquids evenly across ANSI/SLAS standard microplates. When connected to the Hudson SOLO™ single channel pipettor, which can add different test compounds into each well, virtually any assay can be prepared. It is well-suited to use in ELISA applications as a dispenser of conjugate and stop solutions. Its high speed and robot compatibility make it ideal for ELISAs that require consistent processing of many hundreds of plates. Its self-priming feature allows it to maintain consistently clear dispense nozzles even during long plate incubation times.

The Micro10x is also ideal for rapidly dispensing fresh growth media into culture plates in cell-based assays and growth processes, such as inoculation plates for cell culture picking. Coupled with our LabLinx™ track-based plate stackers, clean plates can be filled with media automatically inside ordinary laboratory hoods, to ensure high-speed, sterile filling of plates. Again, its self-priming feature ensures unclogged nozzles and continuously flushed flow channels to minimize contamination.

Micro10x is ideal for dispensing PCR reaction mix components, processing plates rapidly and with great accuracy.
