SOLO Liquid Handling Robot

SOLO Liquid Handler

The Hudson SOLO™ liquid handling robot is an automated pipettor that can do anything expected of a hand-held pipettor, perfectly. It is about half the cost of other laboratory robotics platforms and has options of 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 microplate nests on the deck.  The SOLO will fit into most biological safety cabinets, anaerobic chambers and fume hoods. The SOLO can be loaded and operated manually, but is also compatible with robotic arms from most manufacturers, including our PlateCrane EX. The small footprint and open design of the SOLO automated pipettor provides easy integration with accessories, such as heating and cooling nests, incubators, magnetic bead nests, automatable centrifuges, microplate readers and more. Our SoftLinx lab automation software has software Plug-ins to over 200 3rd party lab instruments.

Micro10x™ Reagent Dispenser for Liquid Handling

Micro10x™ Reagent Dispenser

Hudson’s Micro10x™ Reagent Dispenser combines fast filling speed, high accuracy, and extreme flexibility. It fills 96 wells with 100ul in 10sec (CV rounds to 0%), and sensitive controls permit custom tip touches and fill patterns. An optional valve switch allows the Micro10x to automatically add a variety of reagents or wash buffers in applications such as filter-based purification. The Micro10x has optional valving to allow for up to 10 bottles of reagents, buffers, culture media or solvents.

RapidWash Microplate Washer

The RapidWash™ high-speed microplate washer for 96- and 384-well microplates offers high-throughput automated washing for ELISA, cellular assays, and any other process requiring washes and aspiration. It works with both low profile and deep well microplates. Controls are sensitive enough to allow sensitive cell washing. Use as a standalone instrument, or integrated into a larger system.

Hudson Robotics introduces the FilterPress™, a powerful alternative to vacuum nests, magnetic beads and centrifuges for automated DNA Purification, Plasmid Preps, and Solid Phase Extraction of any kind. It does the same job as a vacuum manifold, but it’s capable of higher pressure than vacuum, useful for difficult samples. The FilterPress is fully articulated, so you can walk away. And if you’re used to vacuum, you’ll probably find it much less messy.

Magnetic Bead Station

The Hudson Magnetic Bead Station automates magnetic bead separation methods by raising or lowering a strong permanent magnet against the bottom of a standard or deepwell microplate.

By raising and lowering the magnet at appropriate points in a method, the entire process can be easily automated. Hudson Robotics can automate commercially available protocols using magnetic bead kits as well as proprietary protocols using magnetic beads.
